ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Knock Out Pain was founded by Julian Phillips’ family in 2015 after Julian took a fall and wound up in the hospital.  In the midst of the worst RSD/CRPS flare up Julian’s family had ever witnessed coupled with the lack of knowledge of the disease not only by the EMT’s but also the ER personnel Sarah, Julian’s eldest made it her mission to change that! While sitting by his bedside as ketamine dripped into Julian she started googling the one thing she knew - running and 5k’s.  Eventually she stumbled on a yearly 5k that was held in North Carolina and she made contact.  After speaking with the founder of  Fight the Flame,  RSDSA’s Jim Broatch and rallying the family, Knock Out Pain was born.

Knock Out Pain does more than just hold a yearly 5k, Julian and his Wife Geraldine have collaborated with other fellow chronic pain sufferers and have started a monthly support group meeting opening its doors to the widening chronic pain community and the many conditions that cause chronic pain.

Knock Out Pain continues to advocate for both responsible legislative change as well as the medical needs of the chronic pain community. Knock Out Pain also participates in community outreach and fundraising events, while lending support and understanding for the myriad of conditions that cause chronic pain.
